This is Bailey. He is a 7 yr. old lab, who had Bi-lateral FHO Sx around 6 weeks ago.He tore open his incisions two days after the Sx, and developed a mersa infection in both hips. Recovering well now, and comes to me during the week for physical therapy and hydrotherapy. IEarly on I was using the foam sling with good sucsess, but as his strength comes back and the nerve damage heals the bottoms up sling gives him better supported mobility. I like both slings and I think they both have their places, but when you compare Bailey's videos you can see how the bottoms up keeps his legs apart and at a slow controlled pace he can place both hind paws, the right is weaker with a greater deficit.
