MARLEY AND ME-LET'S HEAR THOSE GREAT STORIES

There are two books out on the market today. They are about a misbehaving lovable yellow Lab named Marley. We all have our stories with our own*Marley's*. Let's hear some of them, because most of them are absolutely hilarious.

Watson,Casey(look close),and Rooney

......my own Marley was a beautiful young lady, German shepherd, named Casey. She was a rescue who was abused. She had this anxiety about us leaving. She ate an entire couch and a bathroom wall. I know that sounds ridiculous but it's true. And the funniest part is my other little wiseguy, Watson I can just envision sitting there telling Casey that she is going to get into trouble. Duh!and of course when you come home they both sit there and look at you like what's up? Is something wrong?
Another time,we went to the store when we were absolutely famished. I was so hungry I ... more

A NEW ANGLE ON DOG SHOES

I have just received one of the most interesting e-mails. This was forwarded to me from Eddie's Wheels. One of Eddie's customers put the MyPaws dog shoes on upside down basically because their dog was dragging his feet so much that his toes were starting to bleed. In essence he put the bottom part of the shoe(foam rubber with traction)over the top part of his dogs toes. This allowed for greater protection over the top part of this dogs feet. The picture is awesome and so is the e-mail.

I’m very happy with the booties and am using them for Sweet Pea’s paw protection. I put them on upside down and they are wearing well. One of my cu... more

IN MEMORIAM-SIMBA-crossed the bridge April 13

Simba and Mom

Simba with the Bottom's Up Leash

The following is an e-mail that I have just received. The rewards that I feel could never be expressed monetarily. Giving someone like this more additional time in pleasure with their loved pets is so fulfilling for me.

...It is so hard...but we really would not have had the last 6 months with Simba without the bottoms up leash. He had a condition that from the waist down starts a slow paralesis...so he was fine and happy in his head...humiliated when he lost his bowels but at 127 lbs he could not make it up the stairs anymore, could not get up unless there was a pillow or carpet...so we had an extra special final months with our boy because of you!!! Bless you..here he is in several photos... more

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WATSON

Baby Watson
BABY WATSON

April 13, Happy Birthday my little boy. It is amazing how many of us know and celebrate our dog's birthdays. This little bundle of fur turned out to be one of those specials. In essence he is the one responsible for the Bottom's Up Leash. I love you Watson.

I have to honestly say that is probably the cutest little puppy I have ever seen. To know that this little guy in the duration of his life has given so much back .WOW! I can see how you just squeezed out love from him. He looks like a Watson :-).

To me the most amazing thing is how many of us pet parents celebrates our dogs birthdays. I am not really comfortable with these kind of forums, but this site seems to be really "cool". I would love to see and read other people ... more

WHY DO YOU THINK THEY CALL ME A BOXER?

Don't let the pink collar fool you. When I have these boxing gloves on I'm ready to kick butt.I use these MyPaws all-terrain shoes to either do some fancy steppin or being a tough guy.As you can see, I can even chew a bone with these on.

I have purchased the MyPaws dog shoes for my Goldie named Gleason. After a few sessions of forcing them on her she finally took to them. Now she seems not to want to go out without them. The dexterity that they give is unbelievable. These are the best shoes that I have seen in 35 years of having dogs.

My dog loves her shoes. She had an adjustment period, but now can walk and run in them. Now if you could just partner up with Jimmy Choos, my mommy and I would have matching shoes...Holly more

Buckling Up with Your Pet-MADE EASIER

The FDA has just approved its first motion sickness drug for dogs. It is available in two forms tablets and injections. It is supposed to stop acute vomiting. It is called CERENIA. It is amazing how the travel factor for animals is a priority among us. Seat belts for safety, hotels that accommodate pets, and travel items such as water in a bottle specifically made for dogs. It is almost as if traveling with our faithful companion is in direct correlation with traveling with our children.

WALKING YOUR DOG - How Awesome

When I used to walk my boy Watson, we entered a sphere. The world could have stopped but together we were one. We would solve the world's problems, check out the chicks, and by and large just dropped down one or two levels of stress. This was something both of us enjoyed. I would not let age or any infirmity such as arthritis stop that for either one of us. I am sure that when you walk your dog you enter that special zone. When you find your special one is slowing down and having problems all you need to do is get the Bottom's Up Leash. Let me know your comments on the reality on what "walking your dog" really means.

THE HEAT IS ON

It's the same every summer-no matter how many times people are warned not to leave their canine companions in cars during hot weather, it still happens. A new California law will help change things. Bill 1806 prohibits people from leaving animals in motor vehicles "under conditions that endanger the health or well-being of an animal due to heat, cold, lack of adequate ventilation, or lack of food and water, or other circumstances that could reasonably be expected to cause suffering, disability, or death to the animal." The bill allows law enforcement or animal control officers to break into a vehicle if they can't find the owner. Those who violate the law will face fines starting at $100; penalties for a second offense run up to $500 and six months in jail.

My Top Ten Vacation Tips, by Samson the Lab

1) Try to take as many humans with you as possible. They have opposable thumbs, so they can open doors & refrigerators, open cans, carry things and perform lots of services that are really useful to us dogs. The more humans you have around, the better the chances you have for fun and snacks. On my vacation, I had about half a dozen of them to wait on me.

2) Travel with your sister. If you don't have one, get one. Not only is it real fun to have somebody to run next to, she is great to nap on in the car.

3) Have a hobbie. My sister loves to chase the ball, so she loves to travel to new places and chase the ball. I like to nap at new places, have snacks, and meet people. Hobbies are most fun when you go new places, then when you get back you can compare places you've been.

4) When you are traveling, drink lots of water. That makes the humans happy an... more
