George was adopted one year ago. He was 9 years old, blind, deaf
and had a previous spinal injury that limited his ability to use
his hind legs. George has been to the opthamologist and now sees
quite well. Our wonderful vet has cleared his ears and he now can
hear his Mommy tell him how much he is loved. We worked on walking
him as much as he could and he regained some of the strength in
his hind legs. He began attending the Pug Meetups in Houston and
he loves them. Recently, George began having mild seizures and is
again unable to walk with much control. He has been unable to join
his 3 brothers on their walks with Dad and this makes him sad. I
ran across the Bottom's Up site one day and I decided to give this
new leash a try. The evening it came we tried it immediately.
George seemed to understand and headed striaght for the front
door. He walked down the block and back with Dad. He was tired,
but very proud of himself. He has grown to trust the leash and
will try to run, we have trouble keeping up with him some days.
George has even started "hiking" him leg on walks to show the
others that him is the BIG man again. Thanks so much for what you
are doing. It does make a HUGE difference to those of us who need
you. George is going back to the Pug Meetup in November.
Thanks so much,
James and Cindy R.
