MY BELOVED FRIEND

I received this as an e-mail. This has touched me considerably.

I want to take this moment to thank you for the gift you have given me. My beloved friend, Oakley - a 14 1/2 black lab, was put to sleep yesterday but because of you and your product I was able to put this off for the past 6 months. I contacted you back in February when Oaky couldn't stand due to the progression of her arthritis and Arnie sent me a leash arriving next day.

Arnie was compassionate and understanding of my battle against time and the inevitable. I can not stress how grateful I am for the gift you have given me. The moment the leash arrived Oaks was able to go to the bathroom with out falling over and started to go on walks again. She even worked up to walking with out it on her, all on her own. I am greatly saddened by the loss of my friend but you guys gave me more time to better prepare for it. The 6 months that I had with her can not be expressed monetarily for I would gl... more

SONNY and the LEASH

Hey Arnie, Here are a few pictures of Sonny. I think he and Watson could have been brothers. Sonny is getting more comfortable with the leash everyday. We're both thankful that you came up with such a great idea. Also, it's very comforting that you are empathetic to our situation. Like you said in your video, certain things are inevitable, but a dog's "golden years" should be just that. Watson's Bottom's Up Leash has already improved Sonny's quality of life.
Thanks, John N.

AMAZING MEDICAL BREAKTHROUGHS

Iowa Vets Restore Dogs’ Sight

A research team at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine says it has reversed blindness and restored sight to two dogs diagnosed with sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome, a disease that affects as many as 4,000 dogs each year in North America.
The experimental treatment, which involved treating the dogs with intravenous immunoglobulin, is the first of its kind, according to the college.
The researchers, who wanted a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms that cause SARDS, worked with the University of Iowa’s Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences to conduct genetic testing of SARDS tissue, cross referencing the results with the university’s database of genetic information from different human ocular diseases.
“We saw that the molecular profile of SARDS eyes is very similar to immune mediated retinopathy in humans, which is usually antibody induced,” said Sinisa Grozdanic, DVM, ... more

SIMPLE WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR DOG

1)ignorance.. Every dog needs to learn basic commands such as "sit , stay, or come" to stay out of trouble. An uncontrolled dog may you run into traffic, wander away or be injured.

2)identification. A flat, buckled collar and ID tags are everyday essentials. Don't let your dog leave home without them. A loose dog without these is just asking for problems.

3) lethal leaves. To be on the safe side, keep your dogs away from all plants. Dogs commonly react to poisonous plants with severe stomach pain, but the outcome could even be worse. Ask your vet or local agricultural extension service for a list of poisonous local plants and risky houseplants.

4) coolant catastrophe. Dogs love the sweet taste of toxic antifreeze. Store antifreeze in a locked cabinet or high above your dog's reach, and clean up gar... more

THE MAGIC OF THE LEASH

This is an e-mail that I would like to share with everyone.

Subject: Your Leash is Magic! Really!

You assured me that your leash would help my old Aussie, Ollie, to stand up, even though he walks on his own. You may not know that the leash can do this without actually being placed on the dog. Through some mystical enhancement the Bottoms Up leash causes Ollie to get up (or most of the way, anyhow) before I even get it on him!

Although he takes pain medication and glucosamine he's stiff in the morning and after long periods of inactivity, but two times out of five he can get up without relying on the leash. Just starting to put it on gives him the 'boost' he needs to get up!

I think that Ollie is so suggestable that pain and fear have caused him to panic. Using the leash has caused an attitude adjustment!

Even when he does need th... more

MY BOY WATSON

The special young man that I'm talking about is Watson. Watson was my baby all the time even though he lived to be 17 years old. I picked Watson up when he was just about eight weeks old. Watson was the runt of the litter. He was part sheepdog and part lab. He liked to be known as a sheepador. He also knew that he was adorable. Together we both played on that.

When Watson was 15 years old he became affected with arthritis and hip dysplasia. He really had difficulty walking. I would carry him. People would come up to me and tell me what great owner I was. My reply, "no not really I just have a phenomenal dog". When I was carrying him people thought that I was something special. When youlove your dog that much nothing will stop you.

When one person walks their dog, a complete bonding takes place. It is not just for the animal to relieve himself, or to get a littl... more

JUST A DOG

From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog” or, "that's a lot of money for just a dog."
They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a dog."
Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog."
Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted.
Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.
If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise."
"Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy.
"Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better pers... more

MARLEY AND ME-LET'S HEAR THOSE GREAT STORIES

There are two books out on the market today. They are about a misbehaving lovable yellow Lab named Marley. We all have our stories with our own*Marley's*. Let's hear some of them, because most of them are absolutely hilarious.

Watson,Casey(look close),and Rooney

......my own Marley was a beautiful young lady, German shepherd, named Casey. She was a rescue who was abused. She had this anxiety about us leaving. She ate an entire couch and a bathroom wall. I know that sounds ridiculous but it's true. And the funniest part is my other little wiseguy, Watson I can just envision sitting there telling Casey that she is going to get into trouble. Duh!and of course when you come home they both sit there and look at you like what's up? Is something wrong?
Another time,we went to the store when we were absolutely famished. I was so hungry I ... more
